Terms,
kept short.
Last updated 2026-05-28. Chirp is operated by Stackwell Labs LLC. By using Chirp you agree to these terms.
What Chirp is
Chirp is a hosted OpenID Connect identity provider. You use it to sign in to applications that have integrated with it. Chirp is not the application you’re signing in to — it just proves who you are to that application.
Your account
You must be 18 or older to use Chirp. You’re responsible for protecting your email inbox and any passkey-enabled device, since either is enough to sign in as you.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Chirp to:
- Impersonate someone else.
- Sign in to applications you’re not authorized to use.
- Attempt to extract data about other users, probe for vulnerabilities outside an authorized security test, or disrupt the service.
- Send abusive, automated, or high-volume traffic that interferes with normal use.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that do these things, with or without notice. Report abuse: abuse@chirpauth.com.
Relying applications are separate
When you sign in to an application using Chirp, that application is operated by someone else and governed by its own terms and privacy policy. Chirp doesn’t control what that application does with your data once you sign in. If you have a problem with the application itself, take it up with them.
Service availability
We try to keep Chirp running, but we don’t promise uninterrupted service. We may take it offline for maintenance, change it, or shut it down. If we shut it down for good, we’ll give as much notice as we reasonably can.
No warranty · Limit of liability
Chirp is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stackwell Labs LLC’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of Chirp is limited to USD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, even if we were warned they were possible.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits. If you live somewhere that they’re not allowed, they don’t apply to you to the extent the law says so.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If we do, we’ll update the date above. Material changes take effect 14 days after they’re posted. Continuing to use Chirp after that means you accept the new terms; if you don’t, delete your account before then.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes that can’t be resolved by email go to the state or federal courts located in Wyoming.
